The number of organizations getting hit by a data breach continues to rise each year.  According to a 2019 Cost of a Data Breach Report conducted by the Ponemon Institute and IBM Security, the average time to detect a breach in 2019 was 206 days. In order to close the breach detection gap, organizations need to change the mindset from a “prevention only” approach to a “continuous monitoring, detection and response approach”.
