Presenter 1: Cyvergence
Topic Summary: The ABCs and Beyond of Cybersecurity Compliance
Welcome to “The ABCs and Beyond of Cybersecurity Compliance”—a session designed to demystify compliance and show how it can serve as a foundation rather than a finish line. We’ll begin with the core building blocks—the “ABCs”—but quickly move beyond, exploring how organizations can scale from a compliance baseline to meet evolving business needs. This includes navigating transitions to new frameworks, addressing cybersecurity during mergers and acquisitions, and making strategic decisions that align security with growth. Whether you’re maintaining your current posture or preparing for expansion, this session will provide practical methods and key considerations to guide the journey.
About the Presenter: Matthew Webster, Founder, CEO and CISO, Cyvergence
Veteran cybersecurity leader Matthew Webster bridges innovation and compliance to drive cybersecurity success. His career began in 1997 at a university computer center before advancing to federal cybersecurity with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he managed frameworks like NIST SP 800-53, building expertise through rigorous audits. Healthix marked his first CISO position, where he developed a robust security program, implementing SOC 2 and HITRUST to protect millions of health records.
Now the Founder, CEO and CISO of Cyvergence, he combines deep technical expertise—backed by a Master’s degree and certifications such as CISSP and CRISC—with real-world insight gained from years in cybersecurity, sales and product evaluation. Leading Cyvergence, Matthew helps organizations navigate complex risk landscapes, balancing regulatory demands with forward-thinking security solutions.
Presenter 2: Cayosoft
Topic Summary: Active Directory and Entra ID in the Age of AI – Securing Identity Before Copilot Takes Over
Artificial Intelligence (AI) doesn’t break in-it logs in. As organizations adopt Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools, attackers are leveraging AI to map identity structures, escalate privileges, and expose misconfigurations in Active Directory (AD) and Entra ID at machine speed. This session explores research-backed AI attack techniques like prompt injection, permission amplification, and model extraction-alongside real-world examples like the Midnight Blizzard breach. Attendees will walk away with a practical framework to detect AI-driven identity queries, monitor Graph API activity, and implement controls like Conditional Access and Data Loss Prevention policies to limit AI exposure.
The message is clear: If you haven’t secured AD and Entra ID, your AI rollout may already be at risk.
