Topic 1
Insider Threat Management
As organizations grapple with the need to safeguard employees, transition to a remote working model, or maintain business continuity, the risk of security breaches are at an all-time high. The rate of attacks on employees working from home has increased substantially as adversaries take advantage of a weaker security posture and overextended security teams. In this uncertain climate employees are more at risk of accidentally compromising their systems through a malicious link or exfiltrating controlled data.
In this discussion we will look at some of the most common methods by which an insider can knowingly, or unknowingly, compromise a company’s security posture and how to take steps towards mitigating such a risk. We will give an overview of insider threat, how the landscape evolved within the context of a remote workforce, and what steps organizations can take while maintaining employee confidence and privacy.
Presenter:
Michael Gordover: Principal Solutions Architect, Insider Threat Management at Proofpoint
