Please join us for our March meeting featuring an in depth discussion on Cybersecurity Risk & Oversight along with Ransomware From ATT&CK to Zcash – Interactive Simulation.  We are continuing the return to in-person meetings. This will be a hybrid event and will include Teams access for remote attendees and presenters.

Session 1 – Cybersecurity Risk & Oversight

An overview of Cybersecurity compliance including the history of Cyber Security and audit reporting. We’ll cover fraud and look at the Enron Scandal that changed the landscape for future Cybersecurity reporting. We’ll discuss Sarbanes-Oxley and look at how SAS70 evolved into SSAS 18.

Over thirty years’ experience managing and maintaining the accounting and finance functions of various privately held companies. Concentration in the Sales, Staffing, Consulting and Service Industries. Heavy exposure to Monthly Closings, Human Resources, Vendor Management, Systems and Analysis, Control and Compliance, Due Diligence, and varied Ad-Hoc projects. Have used various accounting software packages, with a strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft products. Volunteer as an active member of the New Jersey Society of CPA’s. Current treasurer of the Middlesex/Somerset Chapter.

Session 2 – Ransomware From ATT&CK to Zcash: Interactive Simulation

Do you want to know what the key decisions are in a ransomware incident?

Are you ready to make the tough choices when ransomware strikes?

This session is an interactive and fast paced opportunity to experience a tabletop exercise. You will be in the hot seat and get to make the decisions, while learning something new, and collaborating with fellow chapter members. The session is open to all participants but the best experience is in-person, so we hope to see you there.
