Cloud Security Starts with a “Well-Architected” Framework
Join the (ISC)2 Long Island Chapter as we take a close look into best practices surrounding cloud implementations with a focus on security. Our presenter(s) will take us through Amazon’s Well-Architected Framework that has been developed to help cloud architects build secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructure for their applications. Based on five pillars — operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization — the Framework provides a consistent approach for customers and partners to evaluate architectures, and implement designs that will scale over time. The security pillar focuses on establishing mechanisms that protect information & systems. Key topics include implementing a strong security foundation, traceability, security at all layers, automation of best practices and preparation for and detection of security events.
