Session 2 – In part 2 of this practical dark web series, Charity Wright guides you through the safety and security practices before you venture on to the dark web to collect valuable cyber threat intelligence. How do you access the dark web? What security protocol should you have in place before doing so? How do you engage with dark web sellers and threat actors or buy your company’s own assets from dark web markets? What types of cryptocurrency are accepted for dark web sales? All of these pertinent questions will be addressed. Charity will also bust myths related to dark web sales and business and advise you on how to automate and integrate dark web intelligence into your intelligence requirements and into your CTI collection program.
About the Speaker:
Charity Wright is a threat intelligence analyst with over fifteen years of experience in the US Army and the National Security Agency, where she served as a Chinese Cryptologic Linguist and Intelligence Analyst. She has been analyzing cyber threats in the private sector since 2015, with a focus on Chinese state-sponsored threats and dark web cybercrime. Charity now researches cyber threat intelligence, influence operations, and strategic intelligence at Recorded Future.
