The Angyo Star Fatshedera is a gorgeous evergreen to semi-evergreen vine for part shade to shade planting locations from the Southern Living Plant Collection, a hybrid of Fatsia japonica and English ivy. It produces large variegated olive-green and cream-white leaves that are shaped like the leaf of a Sweetgum tree. This shade-loving evergreen vine grows semi-upright naturally and trains easily to a trellis. At maturity, it reaches a refined 5 ft. to 6 ft. tall and 4 ft. to 5 ft. W. This is a perfect addition to container gardens, on patios in containers, and against structures, such as your home or a fence, and can even be grown indoors. They're hardy from USDA Zones 7a to 9b and grow well from Full Sun to Partial Shade. Water your new plantings 2 to 3 times per week for the first growing season. Plant in rich garden soil for best results. They will be 20 in. to 30 in. tall when shipped. When planting this vine, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow release granular fertilizer in Spring.
