The Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu “Chocolate Brown” is an earth toned look for Pharrell Williams’ trail-inspired lifestyle shoe that was released in December 2020. The “Chocolate Brown” is one of several monochromatic colorways of the Virginia native’s popular signature that were released as part of a “reboot” of sorts for the silhouette at the end of 2020 and in early 2021. Though the model seen here does away with the vibrant color block of earlier NMD Hus, it retains the same inspirational quotes embroidered onto the brown woven upper. The traditional Korean lettering translates to “Human Race.” A light brown lacing cage appears on the mid-panel and assists in supporting the light brown rope laces. Dual Pharrell and adidas branding can be found on the heel of the left and right shoe, respectively. The cushioned Boost midsole and EVA plugs are painted brown as a continuation of the brown monochromatic theme. Release date: December 15, 2020.
