The drill ratchet handle is a versatile and compact tool designed for greater control and efficiency in confined spaces. Constructed from high-quality steel for strength and durability, this ratchet handle is built to withstand tough jobsite conditions. KO-KEN RATCHETSKo-ken ratchets are known for their very low backlash, small head sizes, and high torque ranges. We designed the new 72-tooth ratchet without compromising our traditional strengths. The patented 72T design combines low backlash, small size, and has a 10% higher torque limit compared to the 36-tooth ratchet. Legacy 36-tooth ratchets move 10°/click. The new 72-tooth ratchets move 5°/click. Design changes include moving from the single pawl of the 36-tooth design to the patented dual pawl of the 72-tooth design. The 72-tooth dual pawl design uses a single spring. We spent four years testing to perfect the low spring pressure needed to maintain Ko-ken's low-torque reaction characteristic. The finer 72-tooth design creates more surface contact with the gear; therefore, it has a 10% higher upper torque limit.
