Session 2 – Identifying Threats Through Business Due Diligences

During this presentation we will discuss the best practices for performing business due diligence research: information types, data collection, data validation, advanced analysis and key red flags enabling identification of “staged” entities.

About the Speaker:

Ivan Milovidov, CISSP, CEH, ITIL, Executive Protection Specialist, and Private Investigator. A serial entrepreneur and innovator with over 25 years of hands-on experience in cyber and physical security, vulnerability research and all-source intelligence.

I started my IT and Security career as a system admin for a small consulting firm in Virginia, worked for several companies including CACI, BAE Systems and ManTech, and by 2016 I was serving as a Solutions Architect designing Cyber Threat Intelligence products for Fortune 5 companies and specialized government initiatives.

During the past 20 years I also founded and co-founded several companies focusing on security innovation and services. I recently retired from my last business, a counterintelligence consultancy firm I co-founded in 2016, and where I served as a Chief Information Officer until 2022.

I consider myself to be a problem solver dedicated to creation and promotion of new security solutions and methodologies. I love to brainstorm, research, and most of all I enjoy working with a new generation of young professionals looking for their own place in this complex world of security.
